I found out about this campground in the guide from the Kansas visitor center and on my GPS.

Describe your camping trip:

We did not stay there. We drove in and back out. Though the host was nice, the campground was behind an old, run down motel. It was in an older part of town, and we did not feel safe there. RVs that were there appeared to have been there for years. Campground was unmowed and unkept. The pool was hidden behind a fence and tall grass. You had to really look to find it. There was no gravel spot, no pad and no loop around to pull out. We had to back up to the drive and pull out through a pad area to get out. Supposedly there were full hookups. We didn't see any, but were too distracted by the surroundings to actually look. Campground was far off the beaten path. A camper behind us also pulled in, looked around, and left.
Pros: the host was friendly and attempted to call us to find out (we think) why we didn't stay there.

Cons: see above descriptions.
Nearby attractions: Hays, Kansas - nice town.
Further comments: Unless improved, this campground does not need to be listed in a Kansas visitor center RV campground listing. I found out later that they had been dropped from a lot of RV Web sites and advertisings.
