I found out about this campground online, and I RV camped there in April 2009.

Describe your camping trip:

A pretty place to camp and fish. Went there for the crappie fishing. Helpful staff that keeps the area neat and tiddy. The camp sites are spacious with lots of trees for shade. Many full hook-up sites, even more electrics sites and many tent sites. They are situated on "fingers" that split off of the main road so that each site is close to the lake. There are posts to tie up your boat so you don't have to pull it out each night. Great boat ramps. Many places to sit along the shore to fish too. Large fire rings that are cleaned out for the next camper. Sites are fairly level. Very nice place.
Pros: Very clean from the shower house to the sites. Pretty area with hiking and biking. Many trails, and in the spring morel mushrooms.

Cons: none
Nearby attractions: Rend Lake is a huge lake with many activities. Mount Vernon and Benton, Illinois are close with antiques and attractions.
Further comments: We will camp here again.
