I found out about this campground because it is close to home and well known. I RV camped there in March 2009.
Describe your camping trip:
The campground has over a hundred RV sites, several cabins, tent area and a motel. We stayed a total of 3 nights.
Pros: Family friendly, disc golf, deer pen, always clean including the bath houses. A huge lake for fishing and boating. Roads are blacktopped for easy biking, skateboarding and walking.
Cons: No cons for the campground itself. There is really nowhere to buy necessities unless you actually leave the campground.
Cons: No cons for the campground itself. There is really nowhere to buy necessities unless you actually leave the campground.
Nearby attractions: Jackson, Mississippi is only about a 30 minute drive away from the campground with plenty of dining and entertainment.
Further comments: Most of the sites are well shaded with plenty of room. Fire rings are available for cozy fires during cool weather. I would have given it a 5, because my family enjoys the rustic quality. I only gave it a 4, because of the lack of a store or dining area that you find at some campgrounds.
