I found out about this campground on their Web site, and I tent camped there in June 2009.
Describe your camping trip:
Bathrooms and showers were absolutely disgusting. Nobody seems to clean them at all. There are four showers for the ladies for the entire campground. No privacy in the bathrooms at all. To go floating, we had to wait almost an hour. They do not provide tubes and rafts, so when you get out (of the river), you have to cross the river on your own to get to the campsite, because you need to drop your tubes at the landing. The manager on duty the morning of our checkout was rude, and when we asked a question about our deposit, which by the way you get back in the voucher that you can use only at the campground, he told us to pack up and get out.

"For your information the bathrooms are cleaned at least 2 times a day or more as needed, and we are in the process of adding more showers for both men and women. We had a flood in 2008 that has set us back in our upgrading the campground because we had to fix the riverfront and other things that the flood destroyed. The float trips are beyond our control because they are run by The Landing if we could do something about the wait we would. You also do not have to take your tubes to the other side of the river unless you had driven over to The Landing to take your trip. If you were taken from here to float you can drop your tube off at our landing and walk to your site from there. The only way you would not get your cleaning deposit back is if when you left you left trash on the site or in the fire pit and it is not given back in a voucher it is given back as cash just like you gave it to us. The voucher is given to those who have canceled and sent in a deposit to hold the site and that is the only time we give out vouchers. They only way you would have been told to ""pack up and get out"" would have been if you or a member of you party had started a fight or was being disruptive and argumentative. It is our opinion this review was written by someone who could not follow our few simple rules and were asked to leave and this is an attempt to tarnish our reputation."
