I knew about this campground, because we had stayed here before when it was Ramblin' Rose RV Resort. We figured that the name change meant that it had changed hands (a good thing), and we decided to give it a second chance. We RV camped there in April 2009.
Describe your camping trip:
The campground/RV park is very nice. It's nestled among many varieties of towering pine trees including Redwoods, Spruce, etc. They offer everything from tent campsites to full-hookup RV sites, and they even have a range of very nice looking camping cabins. Our site was a beautiful one near the open, grassy center of the park. It was very large (we could easily park our car in front of our 43' RV), very level, had nice clean gravel, and 50 amp full hookups.
Pros: The lush, forested environment. Strong Wi-Fi signal. Extremely helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: We didn't have the time to stay longer.
Cons: We didn't have the time to stay longer.
Nearby attractions: Redwood National and State Park, Crescent City, Battery Point Lighthouse, Tolowa Dunes State Park, beaches.
Further comments: If you had stayed at Ramblin' Rose in the past, you need to come back and give Redwoods RV Resort a try. You won't be disappointed.
