I found out about this campground online, and I RV camped there in June 2009.

Describe your camping trip:

The campground is located on a pond and has a nice beach area; however, the campground is in need of some TLC. The bathrooms were not clean. This may be because they have mostly seasonal sites, but even the rest rooms by the recreational hall were dirty. The sites were decent size, but the roads to get to them were tricky for campers; they were too narrow.
Pros: Pretty area, cheap rates.

Cons: Neither clean, nor well maintained.
Nearby attractions: Keyser Pond
Further comments: Additionally, we were located next to what seemed to be an abandoned season site, as evidenced by the tree branch sticking out of the roof.

My husband and I camped here this past Labor Day weekend with our kids, my brother and his family and my sister and her fiance. It was by far the worse camping trip ever for us! When we got there and backed our camper up to our site we discovered that the power hook up was on the opposite side of the camper and about 20 feet away. I asked the office for an extension cord and they handed me a small orange one. I asked if that would run my whole camper and was told that we wouldn't be able to use our air conditioner (which wouldn't have been a big deal if I would have been told this when I made reservations.) I would have than brought a water sprinkler for the kids and fans to help keep cool. The campground smelled horrible all weekend and my brother and daughter both wound up getting sick from the heat. We did use the pond to cool off but even that kind of smelled like sewer. Needless to say, we won't go back there at all!
