I found out about this campground through an Internet search for state parks, and I RV camped there in July 2009.
Describe your camping trip:
We had a great stay and there was plenty of room. This park was a nice stop along the way of our journey as we were traveling to Destin, Florida.
Pros: We felt the campground couple hosting this site was right on top of things. Almost every site is literally right on Jackson lake. We even had a really nice dock right behind our site with a nice small white sand beach right beside it. All three of our kids had an absolute blast with some blow up rafts, fishing, hanging around the dock and playing on the beach. The sites are a good size with plenty of room, and we had 50 amp service too. It is nice not to be pinned in.
Cons: There isn't much of an area to ride bikes, so leave them hooked up at this park.

Nearby attractions: Right in town, so you can buy food and gas easily.
Further comments: We felt very safe at this campground, and we enjoyed it very much.
