I found out about this campground through an Internet search for state parks, and I RV camped there in July 2009.

Describe your camping trip:

We left Destin, Florida and used this as a stopover point before heading home to Atlanta. This park is very easy to find and has huge sites to pick from. Almost all sites are right on the gorgeous lake. We enjoyed speaking with the ranger.
Pros: We took a neat nature walk over to the playground area, which is right on a nice beach. We had 50 amp service and plenty of ways to see the great sunset.

Cons: The state park area that is separate from the campground is too far for little ones to go on their bikes.
Nearby attractions: Plenty of food and gas in town.
Further comments: This park is really easy to find and safe for the kids to ride around on their bikes.
