I found out about this campground through an online search, and I RV camped there in September 2009.

Describe your camping trip:

The campsites were mostly park in front of your camp. The camp host was rude and intrusive. We decided to leave early and he pointed at us saying, "We don't give refunds", as I had already paid for five nights.
Pros: Open longer than other campgrounds.

Cons: The over-zealous park ranger and camp host.
Nearby attractions: Yellowstone.
Further comments: I would never stay here again or recommend anyone else stay here.

Unlike a previous review, I absolutley loved camping at Norris Campground. I found the Park Rangers there to be friendly and very helpful. This is a beautiful campground and during our week stay there, Bison could be found right in the campground and Elk could be spotted in the meadows next to the campground. Plan on arriving early (before 11 am) as this is a first-come-first serve campground. Although we did not get to experience this, neighbors in the camp site next to us had the wonderful experience to hear wolves howling (they stressed, not coyotes which we even heard) 2 nights before we arrived. I would stay at Norris Campground again in a heart beat.
