Guide Review:

After reviewing so many tents, they all start to seem the same after a bit -- that is until the Easton's Hat-Trick arrived. The Hat-Trick has the most unique and smart design I have ever seen in a lightweight mountaineering tent.

The team of designers for Easton Mountain Products made well-thought design decisions that no other tent maker has considered. Many little details make this tent epic: air-lock connector poles, full size mesh inner pockets, a mesh loft for overhead storage, color-coded pole sleeves, and really awesome aluminum tent stakes. Even the tent's stuff sack and pole bag is well-designed.

A good tent shouldn't be hard to set up and Easton Mountain has taken easy set-up to another level with color coded tent pole tips and matching pole sleeves. If you can't figure this tent out, you might want to consider buying an RV. In fact, setting up camp has never been so relaxing, not to mention fun, you might as well open a beer first.

The tent is very spacious for two people, although it is rated a three person tent. If you were stuck in a storm, or had to spend long winter nights in this tent, you will have plenty of room to bring your gear inside and still be comfortable.

Favorite feature: The big mesh pockets inside the tent and mesh over head loft are nice bonus features, and a favorite feature that makes this tent extra special. The pockets and loft offer extra storage space, allowing you to organize your gear and keep the tent tidy.
