Guide Review - ICON Rogue Dual Output LED Flashlights

ICON sent me samples of their Rogue 1 and 2 LED flashlights. The lights were very attractive in their titanium gray and Icon green colors. They also come in black. The Rogue lights came with batteries included. Out of the box, I quickly discovered the high and low beams in the clickable tail switch. Nice feature. The beams were very bright on high beam, but I can't think why I would bother using the low beam. There's an O-ring in the screw on cap, but the tail switch is still exposed. ICON says the light is waterproof to 1 meter, but I would not recommend doing this. The lights come with a lanyard to attach the lights to your wrist or around your neck. I suggest attaching the lanyard to keep the light from rolling on flat surfaces. The Rogue lights use a plastic lens, which could get scratched if packed loosely, and the switch could easily turn the light on, if bounced around in your pocket or a pack. I don't pack things that way, so I'm not concerned. You can always remove the batteries before packing. Despite the couple of short comings, these are pretty good lights that are worth their price. Their attractiveness will definitely have people asking, "Hey, can I see that?"
