How can you go wrong with a popcorn popper? The Rome Popcorn Popper has a long wood-insulated handle and a 2-quart capacity. The non-stick finish makes clean up easy. I found that the popcorn popped best when holding and shaking the basket a few inches over hot coals rather than flames. So you could make popcorn over a low campfire or a charcoal grill. I like to dump the popcorn in a large bowl and then add any butter or salt. It takes about 5-7 minutes to make a batch of popcorn over a campfire, and it tastes pretty good.
