Guide Review - WoodGas Camp Stove
The WoodGas Camp Stove uses forced air to efficiently burn natural fuels like sticks and twigs. A small battery powered fan in the base of the stove provides the air flow. The WoodGas technology produces a hot clean flame.

I was excited to try out the WoodGas camp stove. The hardest thing about using this stove is gathering the fuel to burn in it. It takes all of 15 seconds to set it up and maybe 1 or 2 minutes to gather some twigs or small branches. I had a handful of 3-4 inch twigs that I layered criss-cross in the stove. I primed the bottom of the burning chamber with a teaspoon of Gelled Fire Starter and another teaspoon on top of the twigs. One match light later and the twigs were flaming. I waited about 15 seconds before inserting the battery pack to start the fan. The flames immediately began to glow like those on a gas stove in your kitchen. I put a pan with a liter of water on to boil. It took under 10 minutes to reach a soft boil, but the fuel was completely consumed. The manufacturers suggest adding more fuel in small amounts to keep the flames burning longer. You will have to move off any cookware on the stove to add more fuel. I've tried this stove with twigs, leaves, pine cones, tree bark and even dried lawn grass. This stove works with anything, but be sure it's dry. Wet fuel does have a tendency to produce smoke.

If you're the kind of person that prefers sitting around a campfire rather than in front of a gas fireplace, you'll thoroughly enjoy the WoodGas Camp Stove.
