A-1 Steak
A camping recipe from Jim. Here is the trick to a very good steak.
Apple Cider Stew
A camping recipe from Marvin. This can be a meal in itself. The beef can be pre-cooked at home. You should finish the stew over a bed of coals on the campfire.
Beef Barley Soup
Beef Barley Soup, a camping recipe from David. This hearty soup can be ready in 30 minutes.
Beef Stew
A camping recipe from Karen Henton. I made up this recipe while camping at Guntersville Lake Campground, a place my husband and I visit twice a year. I always take my Dutch oven along. We love the beefstew. I keep my Dutch oven greased in between cookings to keep it from rusting. It also maintains a slick interior, and the stew never sticks to the oven.
Biscuit Stew
A camping recipe from Jerry. This is super easy to make and really sticks to your ribs. Because of the size of an RV oven, you can't make much more than this at one time. Use a rack setting as far away from the heat source as possible to prevent burning the bottom of the biscuits.
Camp Shish Kabobs
A camping recipe from Wild Bill Gwaltney. This simple recipe produces great grilled meat flavor, so you may want to take more meat than you usually plan on.
Camper's Beef Stew
A camping recipe from DebWilgus. This recipe is easy, cheap and no clean up. We dip right out of the pouch and just toss it in the trash when done.
Campfire Hobo Stew
A camping recipe from S.A. Lee. This is an easy, economical and healthy recipe. We usually set up the ingredients buffet style and then form an assembly line.
Corn Beef Vegetable Stew
A camping recipe from Lou Ann. You can add as much vegetables and cabbage and even add another can of corn beef per your taste and quantities you want to make. You can use Natural Seasoning, Dash, or pepper, celery seed, salt, garlic and anything else you want to season with. I use Natural Seasoning, because it has most of the seasonings in it. Play with it.
Corned Beef Stew
A camping recipe from Jim. This recipe is very easy to prepare, and it requires no refrigerated ingredients.
Cube Steaks
A camping recipe from David. Cube steaks are typically a tough cut of meat, but this recipe will make them fork-tender. Great with mashed potatoes and gravy.
Easy Campfire Pot Roast
A camping recipe from Jody Sample. This is a quick home-cooked meal.
English Roast
A camping recipe from Shadows. This has become a favorite of my reenacting friends.
Frito Pies
A camping recipe from Paula. A quick snack for kids, young and old.
Hash
A camping recipe from Mary Kay. This is a quick and yummy dish we use at home and camping. So easy and tasty. It is a dish that other veggies could be added (like green beans or even a can of diced tomatoes). We like the clean flavor of the beef, carrots, potatoes and onion.
Hobo Dinner
A camping recipe from Karen Dishaw. An easy one to make on the grill or the campfire.
Hunky Chunky Chili
A camping recipe from Rhonda. The first time we made this the boys did not think it could be done. They were grossed out by it, but once they ate it they were hooked on it.
Jim Dish
A camping recipe from Donna. My husband put this together so I named it after him.
Kielbasa Cooked in Beer
A camping recipe from Amy. This is a tasty one Skillet Meals.
Machaca Roast Beef
A camping recipe from Linda. Kids love this and it's so easy.
Meatballs
Meatballs, a camping recipe from Anne Bull. It is a favorite of my kids and so easy to do.
Mexican Steak
A camping recipe from John Landstrom. This recipe was developed during camping trips in Colorado years ago, and it has remained a family and guest favorite.
Philly Steak Sandwich
A camping recipe from David. It is amazing how something so simple to make can taste so good.
Pocket Stew
A camping recipe from Kathleen. This is one of the first recipes I remember making when I started out in the Girl Scouts, and I still use it to this day when camping.
Savory Steak
A camping recipe from Thomasina Cruz. This steak is more delicious and savory than you could ever imagine.
Shish Kabob Buffet
A camping recipe from David. This recipe is a real crowd pleaser. Lay out a variety of meats, seafood and vegetables so everyone can build their own kabobs. Great grill food, whether at the campground or in your back yard.
Sizzlin' Steak
A camping recipe from Mark Thompson. A very tender steak, if not cooked to well done. Never pierce meat or you will make it dry and tough, use tongs.
Skillet Steak
A camping recipe from David. Skillet Steak is a flank or round steak (some butchers use other cuts) meant to be cooked in a skillet (thus the name), but it is also good when cooked on the grill.
Slow Cooked Elk Roast
A camping recipe from Rod Treweek. This recipe comes courtesy of a recipe found in the Butte's Heritage Cookbook out of Butte Montana with some slight variation on my part.
Steak-On-A-Stick
A camping recipe from Brenda. This is something we tried one camping trip when we forgot the frying pan. It worked great in a pinch.
Stove Top Beef Stew
Stove Top Beef Stew, a camping recipe from David. This beef stew tastes just as good as that made in an oven.
Tamale Boats
A camping recipe from Gigi. This recipe is an easy one that you can prepare in your RV oven, at the campsite in a Dutch oven, or wrapped in foil by the campfire or over coals.
Vegetable Beef Stew
A camping recipe from Catherine Lauter. This is a great way to cook ground beef and one of many one-pot meals my mom would prepare when she was low on time and ingredients.
