All In The Mix

Breakfast Hash
A camping recipe from Joanna Howard. This is a traditional recipe when camping and is always a huge hit. This can be done over the fire with a bed of medium-hot coals or on the stove.

Bush Eggs
A camping recipe from Danica. This recipe is simple and quick, and the kids still eat them to this day.

Cajun Yellow Rice
A camping recipe from Robert Partigianoni. You will find that this simple breakfast meal will become the all time favorite. Very few breakfast dishes will have the flavor of this meal. This is a meal within itself, or it can be served using smaller portions as a side dish to any meal that you would serve rice.

Camp Chili
A camping recipe from Steve. Serve with bread or saltines or any cracker of your choice. A good sangria wine is also delicious.

Campfire Dead Dog Pie
A camping recipe from Chris Keepes. The recipe got it's name because the dog was missing the first time we cooked it, and we told everyone that it was the dog. Still, this has been a campsite favorite whenever I prepare it for other campers.

Campfire Stew
A camping recipe from Cindi Stokes. This recipe is great for groups like scouts, everyone contributes and the mix is great. I can remember huge pots of this being made while girl scout camping. Everyone was responsible for opening their own can of soup and adding it to the pot.

Camping Spaghetti
A camping recipe from Pam M. My mom made this for us when we went camping, and now my family loves it. It really tastes different and very good. Sometimes they ask for it at home instead of the traditional spaghetti dinner.

Cheese Crisps
A camping recipe from David. Both kids and adults will like this one, and it's simple to make. The only things that need cleaning up afterwards are the skillet and your fingers.

Chocolate Pecan Pancakes

Easy Chili
A camping recipe from Ann. We frequently make this recipe over our campfire; it's great on a chilly night in Maine! Sometimes I bring a ziploc bag of already cooked rice or pasta in our cooler and serve this chili over it. The cold pasta is warmed up by the hot chili! It's also great as is with crusty bread. Our three kids love this recipe.

Elk Camp Breakfast
A camping recipe from Wayne. This traditional Dublin saturday night dish was usually served when the men came home from the pub and maybe with a bottle of stout brought home for her.

Fried Rice Dinner

Simple Tasty Thai
A camping recipe from Nikki. I live in Australia. I guess I have been cooking for too long, because I change the size of the ingredients depending upon how hungry I am. I use a non-stick fry pan when I go camping, so I don't tend to use that much oil.

Slumgullian Goulash
A camping recipe from Don Krier. This recipe is great for making before hand and then adding some water and reheating at the campground. We especially like this during cool or wet weather as it warms you up quick. Also make sure you bring along some Italian bread and some butter/margarine to go along with this meal.

A camping recipe from Patsy. I worked for a turkey company for many years, and a co-worker gave this recipe to the office. We have all enjoyed it many times.

Turkey Burgers
A camping recipe from Patsy. My family has enjoyed this recipe for many years. In fact, it was a runner-up in a Turkey Federation Cookoff several years ago. Can be frozen and reheated.

Ultimate Breakfast
A camping recipe from andrachel. This is a very hearty meal that will leave you full for hours. It is a favorite and must have meal for each trip that we're on. It is even better when you cook it in cast iron over the fire.

Vegetarian Chili
A camping recipe from Mireille. This recipe can be made at home and frozen. Let it thaw on your way to the campground. It's easy, good for you, and low-cal! Kids love it with nachos.
