All In The Mix
A camping recipe from Lit'l John. This is something me and my brother threw together on our last night of camping a couple of years ago. It's all we had left to eat of our food supply and man was it good.
As You Like It Stew
A camping recipe from Grandy. The wonderful thing about this dish is that you can use just enough meat to flavor your veggies or all you want.
Baked Beans
A camping recipe from David. What kid (small or big) ever went camping and sat around the campfire without craving some hot dogs and baked beans? Add a few extras to some canned beans to create a gourmet dish.
Beef, Beans, Bacon and Potato Feast
Beef, Beans, Bacon and Potato Feast, a camping recipe from Big Rick Smith. Try this rib sticking meal after hiking, biking fishing or hunting.
Beef Noodle Soup
A camping recipe from David. This hearty soup can be ready to serve in about 45 minutes.
Bikers Subs
A camping recipe from eaglescout. This is a great make-ahead recipe for bikers, boaters, campers and anyone who wants a quick meal without all the work. People will love you, if you share.
Breakfast Burritos
A camping recipe from Darla. Make sure all sides are folded in before grilling. Very easy to pick up and eat without dishes.
Cabbage Stew
A camping recipe from David. This is an easy one-pot meal that can be prepared in a Dutch oven or a big pot over a camp stove.
Camp Chili
A camping recipe from Steve. Serve with bread or saltines or any cracker of your choice. A good sangria wine is also delicious.
Campfire Beans
A camping recipe from Betty. Round out this meal with a tossed green salad, bread and butter.
Campfire Dead Dog Pie
A camping recipe from Chris Keepes. The recipe got it's name because the dog was missing the first time we cooked it, and we told everyone that it was the dog. Still, this has been a campsite favorite whenever I prepare it for other campers.
Campfire Stew
A camping recipe from Cindi Stokes. This recipe is great for groups like scouts, everyone contributes and the mix is great. I can remember huge pots of this being made while girl scout camping. Everyone was responsible for opening their own can of soup and adding it to the pot.
Campfire Stew
A camping recipe from Larry Wallace. My mother cooked this recipe for my family when we camped at the river each summer. Now my wife and I fix it for our six children when we camp, and they love it as much as we did.
Camping Spaghetti
A camping recipe from Pam M. My mom made this for us when we went camping, and now my family loves it. It really tastes different and very good. Sometimes they ask for it at home instead of the traditional spaghetti dinner.
Chicken Soup
A camping recipe from David. During this time of year a bowl of hot soup can taste pretty good. I like to cook different kinds of soup, and at home I like to let my soups cook for a few hours to give the flavors a chance to mingle. That's not always feasible at the campground. This simple soup requires only about an hour of cooking time.
Chicken a la Queen
A camping recipe from CeeCee. Quick, easy, inexpensive.
Corn Beef Vegetable Stew
A camping recipe from Lou Ann. You can add as much vegetables and cabbage and even add another can of corn beef per your taste and quantities you want to make. You can use Natural Seasoning, Dash, or pepper, celery seed, salt, garlic and anything else you want to season with. I use Natural Seasoning, because it has most of the seasonings in it. Play with it.
Dave's Jambalaya
Dave's Jambalaya, a camping recipe from Dave. Optionally you can add tabasco sauce to heat things up. We left out the tabasco, and the spices from the mix made this dish just perfect for an October dinner.
Drunk Risotto
A camping recipe from David. Risotto goes with just about everything. My camping version has a different twist to it. Rather than bringing stock to the campground, I used what I had available in the cooler: beer.
Dublin Coddle
A camping recipe from Phil B. This traditional Dublin Saturday night dish was usually served when the men came home from the pub and maybe with a bottle of stout brought home for her.
Easy Chili
A camping recipe from Ann. We frequently make this recipe over our campfire; it's great on a chilly night in Maine! Sometimes I bring a ziploc bag of already cooked rice or pasta in our cooler and serve this chili over it. The cold pasta is warmed up by the hot chili! It's also great as is with crusty bread. Our three kids love this recipe.
Elk Camp Breakfast
A camping recipe from Wayne. This traditional Dublin saturday night dish was usually served when the men came home from the pub and maybe with a bottle of stout brought home for her.
Grilled Shrimp
A camping recipe from Catina. Depending on how many people you have is how much you cook. I use Italian seasoning sometimes. This is a good source of veggies that we sometimes neglect while camping, and it smells so good.
Ground Beef Stroganoff
A camping recipe from Gary.
Hearty Pork and Beans
A camping recipe from David. You'll need two Dutch ovens and plenty of time to prepare this crowd pleaser.
Hot Onions (Hotdog Topping)
A camping recipe from Toniann Cordero. Make sure there is a bathroom close by.
Hunky Chunky Chili
A camping recipe from Rhonda. The first time we made this the boys did not think it could be done. They were grossed out by it, but once they ate it they were hooked on it.
Judy's Green Pepper, Ground Beef and Beans
A camping recipe from Judith Cavender. I used to cook this regularly on camp trips. It was easy and fast to make.
KIMA
A camping recipe from Tanya Craig. The wonderful smell of the curry will bring everyone running, even the little ones. I have four children and this is one of the few meals everyone in the family will eat.
Kielbasa Cooked in Beer
A camping recipe from Amy. This is a tasty one Skillet Meals.
Larry's Soup
A camping recipe from Brian. Everyone seems to love it. During cool weather, even more so.
