A camping recipe from SylvieBi. This is a high protein meal for those busy camping days. It reminds me of something the cowboys might have cooked. By preparing the items as listed and placing them on the grill as indicated the prep time and cooking time are combined. Who wouldn't want to spend less time cooking and more time camping?

Prep Time: 1 minute

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 16 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 steaks
  • 1 can baked beans
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tablespoon butter/margarine

Preparation:

Place steaks on grill. While steaks are cooking, slice onion, place in foil, and put butter on top. Wrap it up keeping a small opening on top, and place it on the grill. While onions and steaks are cooking, open can of baked beans and place in foil, wrap it up keeping a small opening on top, and place it on the grill. Once everything is cooked, poor 1/2 bean on each steak and top them with onions.
