A camping recipe from Dama Cooper. This meal can be made at home and frozen prior to a backpacking or camping trip. Both my family and Cub Scout Pack have enjoyed this easy meal for years. Little prep time and easy clean up.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 lb. ground beef
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • soy sauce, to taste
  • minced onion, to taste
  • canned peas
  • canned sliced potatoes
  • canned carrots

Preparation:

Mix 1/4 pound of ground beef with a splash of salt, pepper, minced onion and soy sauce. Place on foil. Prior to sealing foil, add some canned peas, canned potatoes and carrots. Seal foil, wrap in another layer of foil and seal. Cook 10-15 minutes on each side on charcoal.

Servings: as needed

Quick, easy and great!, Member Carrie.Z

When our we and our friends go camping, we're out for anything that pleases everyone, like this recipe. We put some buttered Kaiser rolls on the grill for a few minutes, and serve this on top, and it was a feast on a plate. Thanks for submitting another winner, David!
