Dave's Jambalaya
Dave's Jambalaya, a camping recipe from Dave. Optionally you can add tabasco sauce to heat things up. We left out the tabasco, and the spices from the mix made this dish just perfect for an October dinner.

Grilled P B and J
Grilled P B and J, a camping recipe from Dave.

Beef, Beans, Bacon and Potato Feast
Beef, Beans, Bacon and Potato Feast, a camping recipe from Big Rick Smith. Try this rib sticking meal after hiking, biking fishing or hunting.

Meatballs
Meatballs, a camping recipe from Anne Bull. It is a favorite of my kids and so easy to do.

Black Forest Steamed Bread Pudding
A camping recipe from Bummer. Our last day of camping we wanted to celebrate with dessert. I just threw this together with what we had on hand. I used burger buns that were getting old, dark chocolate chips I had brought for s'mores, and the ginger and nutmeg because I had them and not cinnamon. I chose honey to sweeten, because I had three restaurant packets with us, and I used the powdered milk because I had no fresh milk.

Hash
A camping recipe from Mary Kay. This is a quick and yummy dish we use at home and camping. So easy and tasty. It is a dish that other veggies could be added (like green beans or even a can of diced tomatoes). We like the clean flavor of the beef, carrots, potatoes and onion.

Shish Kabob Buffet
A camping recipe from David. This recipe is a real crowd pleaser. Lay out a variety of meats, seafood and vegetables so everyone can build their own kabobs. Great grill food, whether at the campground or in your back yard.

Sausage Stew
A camping recipe from David. A simple one-pot dish that uses your favorite sausage and vegetables.

Chicken Marinara
A camping recipe from David. This is the easy version because it uses a jar of store-bought marinara sauce. If you prefer, you can make your own marinara.

Campfire Beans
A camping recipe from David. This recipe brings back memories of that scene in "Blazing Saddles" when they are eating beans around the campfire. You'll need a big pot or Dutch oven, and you can simmer your beans over a camp stove, next to the campfire, or on a grill.

Dump Cake
A camping recipe from David. You'll be making new friends at the campground, when fellow campers walk past your campsite and get a whiff of this dessert.

Dump Cake
A camping recipe from Kathy. This recipe works great for scouts and families who want dessert in the great outdoors.

Homemade Chili
A camping recipe from David. This is almost how my mom made chili when I was growing up. The only difference with this recipe is that I can no longer get Frank's Chili Powder, which used cinnamon, so I add some to the pot along with my chili powder. This recipe can be ready to eat in an hour, but its better if you can let it simmer for a couple.

Lemon Pepper Chicken
A camping recipe from David. This is a simple recipe and a fun way to grill chicken. For this recipe I use a Dutch oven lid for a grill. If you don’t have a Dutch oven, a charcoal or gas grill will work

Chicken Fajitas
A camping recipe from Roberta. Fajitas are a hands-on, teamwork recipe and everyone loves to eat them, so get some friends to help with this campground treat.

Beef Stew
A camping recipe from Karen Henton. I made up this recipe while camping at Guntersville Lake Campground, a place my husband and I visit twice a year. I always take my Dutch oven along. We love the beefstew. I keep my Dutch oven greased in between cookings to keep it from rusting. It also maintains a slick interior, and the stew never sticks to the oven.

Peanut Butter Banana Grahams
A camping recipe from David. I remember mom packing these in my lunchbox when I was in grade school.

Fudge Gooey Chocolate Brownie
A camping recipe from Helen Marie. For chocolate lovers. Guide note: I've made these and they are appropriately named.

Turkey Meatballs
A camping recipe from David. Want a change from meatballs and spaghetti? Try my turkey meatballs over rice.

Cube Steaks
A camping recipe from David. Cube steaks are typically a tough cut of meat, but this recipe will make them fork-tender. Great with mashed potatoes and gravy.

Baby Back Ribs
A camping recipe from David. Baby Back Ribs are a fravorite on the grill. For camping, marinate the ribs overnight, pat them dry before applying a dry rub, and store them in a Ziploc in your cooler until you're ready to grill. They are grilled dry and bbq sauce is applied when served.

Skillet Steak
A camping recipe from David. Skillet Steak is a flank or round steak (some butchers use other cuts) meant to be cooked in a skillet (thus the name), but it is also good when cooked on the grill.

Potatoes in Foil
A camping recipe from David. There's always room for potatoes on most menus and this recipe is an easy one that can be cooked on a grill, by a campfire, or in a conventional oven.

Sausage and Chicken Jambalaya
A camping recipe from JRzMom. I served this at a family camping reunion and got rave reviews. There was not a lick of it leftover.

Breakfast Hash
A camping recipe from Joanna Howard. This is a traditional recipe when camping and is always a huge hit. This can be done over the fire with a bed of medium-hot coals or on the stove.
