By , About.com Guide

A camping recipe from Dan Douglas. I believe even were you to send this in a satellite to the sun it would still be perfect. If you remember three hours after you buried it in the coals, the outside husks may be burned, but the water will allow the kernels to remain unscathed.
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
  • corn on the cob, with the husks
  • butter
  • salt and pepper
Preparation:
Pull the husks back on each cob and remove the silk. Close the husks back around the cob. Dunk into a bucket of water and allow the ear to draw water up, permiating throughout the ear. Pluck from the water and wrap each ear of corn in aluminum foil. Bury in campfire coals or place on a grill.

Servings: as needed
