A camping recipe from Tracy Jean. My sister Angela gave me this recipe. She saw one like it on a cooking show. It's an easy recipe to double or triple, if you have that many people.
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
  • 1 can biscuits
  • apple pie filling
  • oil
  • cinnamon and sugar
Preparation:
Roll out two biscuits. Place apple pie filling in the center of one biscuit and cover with the second. Seal edges with a fork making sure you have a tight seal all the way around, so the filling doesn't leak. Heat oil in a pan on camp stove. Over the fire doesn't give you an even heat. Once this oil is hot slowly add a pie. Cook one at a time to make things easier and to keep the oil hot. Once pie is brown on first side flip and brown on the other side. Remove to a paper towel and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Be careful, the filling will be hot.

Servings: 4
