French Toast

A camping recipe from David. Try this breakfast classic at the campground. It is simple to make, and the kids will love it.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 6-8 slices thick bread
  • maple syrup
  • butter or margarine

Preparation:

Start your campstove and warm a skillet over medium heat. While the skillet is warming, beat eggs, milk, and cinnamon together in a bowl. Dip a slice of bread in the egg mixture and use a fork to turn the bread over to coat both sides. Place coated bread on the hot skillet and cook until done, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove to a plate and serve with butter or margarine and maple syrup.

Servings: 3-4
