Dutch Oven Biscuits

A camping recipe from David. Fill the campground with the smell of hot biscuits from the oven. You can use any refrigerated biscuits, but I like the Pillsbury Grands because a package of 5 fits perfectly in a 9-inch pan.

Prep Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 can Grands biscuits(5)

Preparation:

Prepare a 12-inch Dutch oven for baking at 350 degrees. Place a round metal rack in the bottom and allow the oven to warm up. In the meanwhile, un-package biscuits and place into a 9-inch round cake pan. You can use any refrigerated biscuits, but I like the Pillsbury Grands because a package of 5 fits perfectly in the 9-inch pan. Place your biscuits in the Dutch oven and bake until the tops are brown.

It takes about 15 minutes to bake biscuits this way. I use 12 briquettes under the Dutch oven and 16 over.

Servings: 5
Preparation time: 30 minutes
