Camping Donuts

A camping recipe from Yvonne Knowles. A quick and easy breakfast or dessert recipe.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits
  • jelly of choice
  • confectioners sugar
  • sugar and cinnamon, mixed together
  • oil, for frying

Preparation:

Method 1: Preheat oil (enough to float buscuits in) to 400 degrees F. Separate biscuits and fry in preheated oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Cut a slit in side of each biscuit. Place a teaspoon of jelly into the center and close tightly. Roll in confectioners sugar. Serve warm or cold.

Method 2: Preheat oil to 400 degrees F. Cut or poke a hole in each biscuit. Fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Roll in sugar and cinnamon. Serve warm or cold.
