A camping recipe from Steve. Serve with bread or saltines or any cracker of your choice. A good sangria wine is also delicious.
Prep Time: 1 hour, 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 large can tomato juice
- 2 pounds hamburger
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, diced
- 1 large sweet onion, chopped
- 5 cans red kedney beans
- garlic powder, to taste
- chili powder, to taste
- salt, to taste
Preparation:
In large pot mix kidney beans, tomato juice, bell peppers and sweet onion. Let simmer while frying the hamburger. When done, drain the hamburger and mix with the other ingredients. Add seasonings to taste and let simmer awhile longer. You may have to add more tomato juice or water, if some evaporates. Serve with bread or crackers.
