A camping recipe from David. Skillet Steak is a flank or round steak (some butchers use other cuts) meant to be cooked in a skillet (thus the name), but it is also good when cooked on the grill.
Prep Time: 2 hours
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
  • 2 lb. skillet steak
  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • -
  • Rub:
  • - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • - 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
  • - 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • - 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • - 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Preparation:
Place steak in a Ziploc bag, pour Worcestershire sauce over the steak, close the bag and marinate in the refrigerate for a couple hours or overnight. Next day, rinse the marinade off the ribs and towel dry. Mix rub ingredients and rub into steak thoroughly. Set your grill to its low setting and grill the steak for 10-15 minutes per side, turning once. Remove from grill and let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing. BBQ sauce is optional. I prefer A1.

Servings: 4
