A camping recipe from Dave. Optionally you can add tabasco sauce to heat things up. We left out the tabasco, and the spices from the mix made this dish just perfect for an October dinner.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 boxes of Jambalaya mix
- smoked sausage
- bell pepper
- 1 small onion
- 1-2 can black beans
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 cups water
- tabasco sauce (optional)
- vegetable oil
Preparation:
In a large sauce pan or Dutch oven, mix 2 cups water, 2 packages Jambalaya mix and 2 caps of oil and bring to a boil. Slice sausage, dice veggies and add beans. Turn down heat and cover for 20-30 minutes or until mix is fully cooked.
