A camping recipe from Eli. I accidently made these before while attempting to make regular baked potatoes on the campfire. I left them on the fire too long, and they were so burnt the potatoes were black. I was going to throw them away, but my girlfriend broke one open and the potatoes were really soft and almost the consistency of mashed potatoes.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:
  • large potatoes
  • butter
  • salt and pepper, to taste
Preparation:
Wash potatoes then poke 3 holes in each with a fork. Then completely cover the potatoes with butter and tightly wrap in foil. Lay directly on coals for at least 45 minutes Romove from fire and let cool. Unwrap and cut potatoes open to remove all the potato from the burnt skins.

Servings: as needed
