Tacos in a Bag

Tacos in a Bag

A camping recipe from Rheanna. This recipe is very flexible as you can prep as much as you like. It all depends on your eaters. Usually one bag will fill up an adult male. I got this idea when I worked in a school, and they used these as a fundraiser at tournaments.

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 50 minutes

Ingredients:

  • individual serving bags of your favorite chips
  • ground beef
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • salsa
  • sour cream
  • lettuce
  • onion
  • grated cheese
  • any other taco ingredient you wish

Preparation:

At home: Cook beef and add taco seasoning, as per package. Let cool and put in travel container. Chop all vegetables and also store in travel containers.

At camp: Re-heat cooked beef. Crumple chips. Cut bags of chips long side making a bowl like area. Add meat, vegetables, salsa, and sour cream. Top with shredded cheese. Place fork into bag and eat.

Servings: as needed
