Question: What is a footprint tarp?
Answer: Some tent makers sell footprint tarps, which are custom sized ground cloths for your particular tent. These tarps are made an inch or two smaller than the tent floor and sometimes have loops that can be attached with the stake loops to achieve a custom fit that requires no tucking under. Footprint tarps are usually sold as an accessory, and they may not be included as part of the tent package.
