A. The easiest way to clean your tent is to keep it from getting dirty in the first place. Use a ground cloth to keep dirt and debris off of the floor. Avoid bringing debris, dirt, and sand into the tent by brushing off boots and clothes outside. Use a whisk broom to sweep your tent out occasionally and before packing up. If you follow these simple house cleaning procedures, you'll seldom need to wash your tent.

If your tent needs cleaning, follow any cleaning instructions that may have been supplied by the manufacturer. Otherwise begin by picking a sunny day to set the tent up in the yard. Fill a bucket with warm soapy (non-detergent) water. Dip a soft sponge in this solution and gently wipe the tent down. Rinse with a sponge dipped in warm water to remove any soap, or use a garden hose to rinse it off. Allow the tent to dry thoroughly before packing for storage.
