"The two photos attached were taken in 2005 of our permanent campsite at Deer Trail Park to show how we can fix up our site to suite ourselves. We have been camped there for 32 years in the same site." ~ Mike Zgarrick

Cheese Coneys
Great campground food. Who can resist a chili cheese dog?
- Cheese Coneys - submitted by David:
At home, chop an onion and shred some cheddar cheese. Put both in Ziploc bags and refrigerate until needed at the campground. At the campground, grill as many hotdogs as needed and heat up some chili. Canned is good, but homemade is even better. When the dogs are done, put one on a bun with a little mustard, some chili, chopped onion and a handful of cheese. Oh, and don't forget a napkin.

This is our 6-year-old son Aidan. The photo was taken just steps outside our tent. Nice view, eh? He loved the camping trip as did everyone. Fishing, swimming, smores and movies projected on our friend's Airstream trailer at night made for an unforgettable weekend. ~ Jeanne(photo © Jeanne Markham)

Sweet Slaw
This recipe is the outcome of browsing the produce section of the grocery store looking for ingredients to make a quick and simple salad at the campground.
- Sweet Slaw - submitted by David:
"To avoid cleaning up at the campground, I make my slaw at home the night before a camping trip. I put it all in the frig in a freezer Ziploc. It will keep in the cooler for several days."
