Please look elsewhere!November 01, 2010 By vj2010
I recently stayed at Fairy Stone with my family the weekend our aunt died. First off, the ""pet fee"" that we had to pay was not clearly marked on our reservation so, surprise!, we had to pay an extra $21 when we arrived. Bottom line, if you are collecting social security then this is the perfect campsite for you. Otherwise, be prepared to be watched from the moment you arrive. The Camp Host is an extremely creepy couple that we caught on two separate occasions looking in the windows of our camper and truck. I would give this campsite zero stars if that was an option. I emailed Virginia to air my frustrations and was met with a blanket response of we're sorry to hear that. This has been my worst camping experience to date. I'll stick to South Carolina from now on.

GREAT PLACESeptember 20, 2010 By Goofy235
We stayed here in the fall of 2008 and loved it. Wooded sites and lots of roaming room. There is a field here that the park allows digging in and you can find little stones with a cross on them. Too rainey for us to dig, but bought stones at park office. Fasinating story. Would recommend for a leasure camping trip.
