The ""campsites"" for tents and pop ups are right at the entrance road and within sight of the highway, which is elevated along side of the campground property. The sites are VERY FAR AWAY from the bathrooms (the opposite end of the campground). You cannot make a fire at your site but were told we could use the fire that is built every night at the center of the campground. The hostess told us very few campgrounds still allow fires at individual sites----really??? We camp many times a year and this was the first time we were told we couldn't have a campfire. We were told about our site location and the distance to the bathrooms (I would have been driving my 4 year old there) and the lack of a fire ring (we planned meals to cook on charcoal) after we paid. After looking at our site we asked for a partial refund and planned to move to a real campground. We were told no refunds at all (yes it was posted somewhere on the wall behind the check-in, granted). We gave up the money rather than have a miserable experience on a tiny patch of grass next to the highway. The rest of the place looked like a campy version of a mobile home park, where the rvs were packed in like sardines.
