I have not actually stayed at the campground. My problem is with the owner. When trying to cancel a reservation due to the recent oil spill, the owner would not return calls I made regarding the need to cancel. When I did reach the owner after several calls she was very rude, refused to refund the whole amount, and hung up the phone. I can only wonder what the customer service would be like if staying at the campground.

It's a shame that such a pretty campground is run by such rude people. We got different answers about how much we owed on cabin every time we called to check on it. We were told someone would call us back twice, and never got a return phone call. I was told once that we didn't owe anything, once I was told that we had a balance of $10. I spent hours on the phone trying to clarify the situation before we arrived. I thought it was fine, but when we arrived we were very rudely confronted and told that we owed a night on our cabin. I had to show them my bank account info showing that the withdrawals had been made for every night, it was very embarrassing to have to show them my account balance and expenses. Then I was told that they had refunded the money to my account last month and I would have to pay it then. The entire time I was treated as if I were trying to scam them, rather than what had actually happened...that they had made a mistake. Considering we're a young couple with a child, we were on a tight budget and finding out at last minute that we had to pay $80 unexpectedly meant we had to cancel an activity we had planned. We lucked out and got a good cabin, but we were told that you may not get the same cabin if you request it ahead of time, she said even if they tell you they reserved it for you, the reservation dept can change it and they aren't responsible for the changes. The lodges are directly next to the bath houses, I was very glad we hadn't sprung for the lodges. Everything in the camp store was ridiculously over priced....because it had rained we bought firewood....a bundle of small logs for $6 when you are in the woods seemed a little much to me. Overall, not worth the money.
