My Review

We found their website very inviting. Little did we know how it was going to be when we got there. This campground gives a rate for lake view sites on their webpage. I went through their online reservation system. I was promptly informed I would receive an email or phone call to confirm the reservation. I received an email the next day requesting that I call them to confirm. So, I did for two nights and requested lake view, but was told there were none available. We arrived around noon on Friday and checked out by 3:30 pm without a refund of either night. The sites were very small and right on top of each other! Most of the sites on the grounds were permanent sites along the water. We had no fire ring or really no good place to light a fire without danger of catching our vehicle or motorhome on fire. So, we decided to take our four boys for a walk to see the beach and figure out where to fish, just check things out. We walked down toward the lake. I was shocked and amazed at what they called a beach. There were piles of weeds and algae all along the shoreline! The piers were parked full of boats and very narrow with no guard rails making it impossible for kids to fish safely. So we walked along the grass area by the lake thinking maybe they could fish there. No luck. Too weedy for them to fish without constantly getting snagged! We walked to the playground and shower house area. The playground looked pretty big, however some of the wood built pieces shook like mad when the kids were on it. Didn't make a mother of four boys feel safe. So, I proceeded to checkout the shower house/bathroom. Yuck! Nasty concrete floors, rust all over the place, dirt all over the floor! So, we decided to leave and go to another campground my husband had seen earlier in the week where we could actually enjoy ourselves. I went up to the office and asked if we could get any kind of refund if we decided to move on somewhere else. I was told "No, it says right on the top of the receipt, NO REFUNDS! Can I ask why?" I explained the situation and told her about the beach and fishing. "Well, I can go clean up the piles on the beach, they must have left them there when done raking. We have kids fish off the shore and piers all the time!" I asked if we could at least get the second night back for our trouble and was again told "No." Visit before camping please! You will not get a refund!

Pros and cons?

Bad Points: Sites too small, beach not clean, not kid friendly fishing, no refunds, too many permanent sites, website not truthful, just not a clean park in general, too expensive for how park looked.
