My boyfriend and I stumbled on this campground by accident. We arrived late in the day and found large, private sites, beautiful stone fire pits (not the ugly metal boxes!), free hot showers and very clean bathrooms. It was the perfect balance between nature and comfort. On top of that, the campground happened to be hosting a live music concert with a barbecue that night (both free). The local band was great and families got really into it, dancing and everything. We were offered food and drinks and advice about what to see and do in the area. The owners were just a really genuinely kind couple, and it gave the whole place a great atmosphere.
How did you camp?
tentHow did you find out about this campground?
We did a search for campgrounds in the area and this one came up. I guess we just got lucky! As the owners told us, you may actually find it under its older name, Cold Brook Camping, in some places. The new owners have renamed it.
Pros and cons?
Pros: beautiful sites, lake on the property, friendly atmosphere, not far off the 89, free hot showers, very clean bathrooms.
Nearby attractions?
Various lakes and hiking, as well as outlet malls for the rainy days. Email them at info@indianorchardcampground.com for more details, as they have a brochure with a whole list of attractions.
