Land of Lakes Campground has RV and tent camping in the beautiful Sister Lakes Michigan area, across the street from Round Lake public beach. Daily, weekly, monthly or seasonal camping available. With the economy bad where can a family of 4 enjoy a vacation camping in the great outdoors for $20 per night that includes electric and water. Small open to the public wooded campground with sites available in Dowagiac, Michigan, aka Sister Lakes. Campground is a mom and pop operation run by a lovely elderly couple Bev and Don. Most of the seasonal sites in the campground are people from the Chicago area and northwest Indiana. Land of Lakes is 100 miles from Chicago's southwest suburbs and within walking distance to the 3 lakes that make up the original Sister Lakes area - Round Lake, Big and Little Crooked. So bring your RV and your boat and have fun. Tell Don one of their seasonal campers sent you. Cindy and Tom
How did you camp?
RVHow did you find out about this campground?
We have been coming up to the Sister Lakes area since we were kids. We tried camping about 5 years ago with a popup. We really like the park, and we now rent a seasonal site for the last couple of years.
Pros and cons?
Round Lake public beach across the street from campsite. Most of the sites are shaded with large trees. The park sells a generous supply of wood for campfires for $5. Fishing, swimming, boating, tubing and water skiing right across the street.
Nearby attractions?
Warren Dunes about 20 miles away. Silver Lake beach in St. Joe about 13 miles away. Drive-in movie theatre on the weekends about 5 miles away. Roller skating, bowling, Driftwood summer ice cream shop within walking distance. Original three lakes that make up Sister Lakes within a block of the campground.
