What gave you the idea to start a camping blog?
I'm retired, so my blogging is for fun. I have a few Google ads on the page, but that's just to pay my hosting. I've loved camping since I was a kid. Twenty years of military "camping" didn't dampen that love. Today I do more RVing than backpacking, but I take every opportunity to be outdoors. I've noted the upsurge in the bushcraft community and have followed it with great interest. Much of what I seen being taught is stuff that I used on a regular basis in the military. It's good to see basic skills still being taught to the general public.

- Have the right gear and the right mindset
- After that, it's all about fun.
- It's not about all the latest toys.
