Do You Take A Cell Phone When Camping?
- I take mine with us when we go camping due to hubby's health just to use in case of an emergency. My cell phone is always off and I never use it to make regular calls and no one has the number to it. Like I said I only use it in an emergency. It is kind of like a security blanket good to know it's there if you need it.

Cell Phones
- I always have a cell. It allows me to gather the troops when we are scattered through the campground or off site. Also to use in case of emergency while on the road. NO BUSINESS USE WHILE CAMPING.

Of course!
- A cell phone is a MUST, especially for a woman alone. But, come on, you all use them to just talk to people. Not just for work or emergencies (necessity).

Cell Phones
- Well, I love my BlackBerry. It has everything that a die hard camper needs. Here is a list of features that comes very handy when camping: Camera (3.2 MP), Built-in GPS, Media Player, Video Recording, Maps, Wireless Email, Organizer, Browser and Phone. So for our large family, we make sure our BlackBerrys are on our checklist of things to pack. Since I bring up Camp checklist, our camp checklist is only a click away on our BlackBerrys. LOL

Of Course
- Of course I take my cell phone and my husband has his, just like we had a landline when we were home. We've been in some dead zones, though, but we don't feel that it's an intrusion. We don't travel to get away from anything, but rather to get to somewhere. It allows us to go farther and stay gone longer. I'm grateful.

Cell Phones
- I take mine because of my mothers health, they need to keep in touch. When my niece passed away I was glad to have it.

Cell phone a must
- I always take my cell phone while camping. I usually have several grandchildren with me and feel it important to be able to be in touch with parents.

Cell phones are good.....
- I am not attached to my cell phone, but I feel it is important to have along for emergencies. However, I am not always in an area where it can be used. It is more important to be in nature and not disturbed by unnecessary calls. I prefer others to respect my "zone" too. So I try to set the example. Camping is where I want to be.

Cell phone camping

Cell phone during camping
- I usually take my cell phone camping with me for emergencies. Most of the time, I don't have service in the camping area anyway, but when I do have service it's shut off. Camping is for getting away from the hectic everyday life. I think keeping a cell phone on while camping sort of defeats the purpose of going camping.
